About us
Having lived in households with dogs all of our lives we
decided to develop our interests in dogs to include some showing
and occasional breeding as a hobby.
We had acquired some good foundation stock from well
established and respected Labrador lines. In 1990 we decided to
combine our small kennels and continued, alongside family and
work commitments, to produce the occasional litter. We have
always been proud of our standards of homing our puppies, having
met some wonderful people over the years, many of whom we are
now happy to call friends.
We have enjoyed some success in showing at
Championship level, qualifying our stud dogs Hamish and Ryan for
Crufts. Sadly we have now lost our dearly loved, most wonderful
boys, who have been such a pleasure to own and live with. They
are sadly missed in our household. However, their legacy lives
on here with son, grandson and granddaughters, our ninth
generation of Labradors.
Looking to the Future
We decided after over 30 years of owning Labradors that we would like to bring another Gundog breed into our home to join them. Having looked at the various breeds and along the way talking to people who had bred and owned Labradoodles we decided to do some more research and we’re glad we did!
Following 12 months of research and deliberation we started to plan for our first litter which was born in July 2006.
Breeding Standards
We belong to the Kennel Club Accredited Breeder Scheme for the breeding of Labradors and although Doodles are not recognised by the KC we adhere to the same high standards throughout, from choosing the parents to homing the puppies.
